About

My name is Graham McLean and I’m a writer in Los Angeles with a master’s degree in art history from UC Davis. Calliope’s Parlor is an art blog I created to share my love of art with others as I experience it in LA.

The name of this blog is derived from the Greek Muse of epic poetry, Calliope, who is standing in for all of the arts here, and from the parlor rooms in old homes that once served, among other uses, as spaces to display and discuss art.

If you like what you read here, please follow Calliope’s Parlor on social media, and feel free to share my posts with your family and friends.

Thank you and welcome to the parlor!
